This museum is home to the largest exhibition of artefacts relating to the famous Battle of Britain, including plenty of aircraft such as crashed Messerschmitt and replica Spitfires and Hurricane, a must for anyone with a passion for this era of history or aircraft in general.
During the summer months a visit to the Lower Leas Coastal Park is a must whilst in the area. This is the site of Folkestone’s very own amphitheatre where a host of summer concerts are held, from theatre and musical performances to comedy, in a truly splendid setting.
Art lovers can visit The Metropole Galleries that is not only housed in a stunningly beautiful building, but also offers visitors the chance to see a range of modern art with changing exhibitions on throughout the year. Admission is free and the gallery is open Tuesday through to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
